All
eyes were on $1,6 million Magic Millions sale topper Chauffeur and he finished with a clear pass
mark when a close second to another Snitzel colt in Invader.
Lacking early speed, Invader settled near the rear, trailing Chauffeur who had settled
behind the speed.
They came through together upon turning for home and paired off down the
straight with Chauffeur looking most likely to hold on but Invader showed admirable
determination to win by just a nose.
Invader is yet another for China Horse Club, their fourth win of the morning, this
time trained by Peter and Paul Snowden.
He is by Snitzel out of the stakeswinning Flame Of Sydney (Encosta De Lago) who
has already left Not Listenein'tome, a Group Three winner in both Australia and
Hong Kong.
He was offered at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale by Arrowfield Stud, being
sold to China horse Club for $475,000.
