Breednet is Following the Randwick 2YO Trials Heat Seven

Breednet - Monday September 19
A couple of smart colts with different styles fought out heat seven, running the best time of the morning so far in the process.

Runner-up The Mission as a yearlingThe winner was another Godolphin homebred in Piracy, a son of Exceed And Excel out of former smart juvenile Plagiarize, who has had five to the races for five winners.

None of them have cracked it for black type but Piracy gave the impression here that he might turn out the best of her progeny so far.

Showing good speed for James McDonald he was asked for a serious effort and responded impressively to the hard riding to win by a long neck.

The runner-up, The Mission created as good an impression though after racing greenly in the middle stages but warming to the task nicely under riding down the straight with the first pair a grade above their rivals.

The Mission (Choisir x My Amelia) was a $32,5000 buy from Book Two at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale for trainer Paul Perry from the Edinglassie Stud draft.

Both colts look to have bright futures.

1st – Piracy (Exceed And excel x Plagiarize)
2nd – The Mission (Choisir x My Amelia)
3rd – King Ranch (Snitzel x Miss Iguacu)
Time: 50.84
Margins: Long neck, 5-1/4 lengths.
