There'll be some early season expectation for Godolphin's Exceed And Excel filly Jorda who trounced them in a classy display in the second heat and first for the fillies.

Exceed And ExcelNot asked for any real early pace Jorda sat off the speed but ambled by the leader early in the straight and looked a class above the rest.

She won being eased down at the finish by James McDonald by two lengths.

Jorda is by Exceed And Excel who has been a mainstay among the top juvenile sires for years, out of Montmelo, a Viscount mare that has left two previous stakes placed winners in Pursuits and Catallonia.
