New Winners for Dream Ahead and Smart Missile

A new winner each on Tuesday has kept Smart Missile and Dream Ahead rolling at the top end of the second sires table.

Glonass as a yearlingSmart Missile was first on the board when Glonass made a winning debut at Bathurst for trainer Michael Costa.

A 190,000 purchase at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale for Trainer Connections and Michael Costa from the draft of Kitchwin Hills, Glonass is a half-brother to Gr2 VRC Sires Produce Stakes winner Twilight Royale and the sixth winner for Royal Season, a daughter of Royal Academy.

Dream Ahead's winner came two races later at the same track courtesy of Turf Tapper, a convincing two length winner when having his second career start for Bjorn Baker.

He was a $45,000 buy for Michael Otto Bloodstock from the draft of Clarke and Croft Bloodstock at Inglis Classic Sale Summer Book.

He becomes the third winner for Octagonal mare Chiasmus, a half-sister to Gr.1 Crown Oaks winner Tributes and from the family of Singapore champion Top Spin.

Both Smart Missile and Dream Ahead have had strong starts to the new season.

Turf Tapper as a yearlingSmart Missile has booted well clear of the pack on the list of winners with Glonass becoming his ninth.

Dream Ahead is currently third on the prizemoney table highlighted by last start Melbourne stakes winner Ken's Dream.

Smart Missile is standing the current season at Arrowfield Stud on a fee of $22,000.

Dream Ahead stands at Emirates Park at a fee of $27,500.
