The William Haggis trained Highland Lotus (ex Tiger Miss by Galileo) started favourite
at Wolverhampton and scored by a head in the 1700m maiden, ridden by Silvestre
De Sousa.
Foxwedge has now had 13 winners in Europe to go with Gr.3 placed US winner Star
Empire.
His fortunes are clearly on the rise with a terrific start to the new season
locally including two stakes winners within seven days last week in Foxplay and
Kentucky Miss.
Foxplay is due to have her next start in this weekend's Gr.2 Tea Rose Stakes at
Randwick.
Foxwedge is standing the current season at Newgate Farm at a fee of $22,000.
