One to follow - The 'One' for Rothesay?

Breednet - Thursday September 8
Those who watched Rothesay's debutante Mr Wind ambling down the straight at Doomben on Wednesday lengths ahead of the opposition could only wonder how far he's going to go.

RothesayStarting a short priced favourite on his debut as a four-year-old, Mr Wind took control of the race soon after jumping and was obviously going to win well before they turned for home.

It was his effortless performance down the straight however, never seriously asked for an effort by rider Jeff Lloyd, that was most impressive by the finish and not something that is often seen in any grade.

He's clearly going to win better races and could be the good horse his sire Rothesay has been waiting for.

Mr Wind was a $42,500 purchase for Peter Moody at Session Two of the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale from the draft of Edinglassie Stud.

Now trained by Toby Edmonds at the Gold Coast, he is the fourth to the races for stakes winning mare Besame Mucho (Encosta De Lago) who has also left stakeswinners Frespanol and Essington.

Rothesay (pictured) has proven himself a prolific sire of winners from his base at Glenlogan Park and is standing the current season on a fee of $11,000.
