The
China Horse Club colours were well out in front at Goulburn on Thursday aboard
a talented daughter of champion sire Fastnet Rock.
The John Thompson trained filly Fabvier was cherry ripe at her third run back
from a spell and had no trouble zooming away from a big field in a competitive
maiden over 1300 metres to win by three lengths.
A $350,000 Inglis Easter purchase for China Horse Club/ Michael Wallace
Bloodstock from the Segenhoe Stud draft, Fabvier runs for China Horse Club in
partnership with Segenhoe.
Entered for the Group I MRC Thousand Guineas, she is the first living foal of
stakes-winning Thorn Park mare Swiss Rose, whose dam is a half-sister to Magic
Millions winner Catnipped.
Further back it's the family of Golden Slipper winner Overreach and Blue Diamond
winner Reward for Effort, so Fabvier is a filly with a big pedigree.
Segenhoe sold an All Too Hard colt from Swiss Rose at Inglis Easter this year
for $310,000 and she is due to foal to Snitzel.
