Bidding Open in Gavelhouse August Auction

In less than 24 hours of bidding gavelhouse's August online auction has seen plenty of action with 14 lots already reaching their reserves.

ShockingPlenty of parties have placed bids on the share in Melbourne Cup winner and Group One sire Shockingwho on Tuesday afternoon had reached NZ$22,000.

First bids have been placed on the Tavistock yearling colt at Lot 2 and Cross Examinewho is in foal to Tavistock.

Comprising 61 lots, the catalogue boasts a large offering of breeding stock including some nice young racemares off the track ready for early services this spring.
Examples of these include Royal Raine, a winning daughter of Thorn Park who is a half-sister to Gr.3 Newcastle Gold Cup winner Stratofortress and Red Poppy, a well-related winning daughter of Iffraaj.

Final bids will be taken on Lot 1 at 7pm (NZ time) on Thursday 1 September with subsequent lots following on from there on a lot by lot basis.
