Ambassador of Love in Sun-Shine State

Tara Madgwick - Thursday August 18

Sun Stud Queensland stallion, Love Conquers All, is franking the form that took him to the brink of a national premiership with outstanding winners on successive days.

The Chris Waller trained first starter, Fortensky, got up in a thriller at Newcastle on Tuesday, while Tony Gollan's The Ambassadore, smashed his rivals with a 3-length victory over 1110m at Doomben on Wednesday.

Love Conquers AllThe Champion Queensland First Season Sire by both earnings and winners, Love Conquers All went within $30 - yep, $30! - of capturing the Australian First Season Sires' title by earnings, albeit getting the gong for the most winners.

Ironically, if The Ambassadore had of run second on debut at Ipswich with just two days to go in the season, instead of third, it would have been a clean sweep for Love Conquers All.

However, The Ambassadore seemed intent on making up for his earlier slip and led throughout at Doomben to score very easily.

Bred by Oakwood Farm in Queensland, The Ambassadore is out of the General Nediym mare, Sale Eve, in turn a daughter of the stakes placed mare, Light Of My Life.

Although Love Conquers All has served the biggest books in Queensland over the past two seasons, the flashy bay stallion has only had the 26 runners to date for 10 winners, 8 placegetters and 21 money earners overall.
