Smart
Missile has reeled off four quick winners since the start of the season with
the latest to salute coming at Pakenham on Tuesday with a debut victory for
Flash Missile, an $80,000 Inglis Weanling Sale purchase for Rich River
Thoroughbreds from the Three Bridges Thoroughbreds draft.
Trained by Jerome Hunter, three year-old filly Flash Missile was easy in the
market but zoomed home along the inside to hold a narrow win in the 1200 metre
maiden.
A half-sister to stakes-placed Bold Moment, Flash Missile is the fifth winner
from Group II winner Flushed.
Flash Missile is the 12th winner overall for Smart Missile and is
his fourth winner since the start of the new season.
The Group II winning son of Fastnet Rock stands at Arrowfield at a fee of
$22,000.
