Australia's Strongest Ever 2YO Catalogue Released

The strongest catalogue of two-year-olds ever assembled in Australia is now online with 255 select juveniles to be showcased at the Inglis Ready2Race Sale in Sydney on Tuesday 4 October 2016.

Vendors from Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and New Zealand have unequivocally increased their support of the sale, with the depth of sires and quality athletes undoubtedly delivering the best book of two-year-olds offered for auction in Australia.

Australia's top 15 sires last season are all represented led by Street Cry, Not A Single Doubt, Written Tycoon, Fastnet Rock, Lonhro, Encosta de Lago, Redoute's Choice, Snitzel and Sebring.

Japonisme - Grant CourtneyChoisir is represented with seven two-year-olds in the Ready2Race Sale, including a full sister to Japonisme and a colt from a half-sister to Sacred Kingdom. Three lots by High Chaparral will be offered, while other leading stallions represented in the sale include More Than Ready, Exceed And Excel, Magnus, Stratum, Mossman, Savabeel, Commands, I Am Invincible, Hard Spun, Bel Esprit, Casino Prince, Medaglia D'Oro, Al Maher, Husson, Dane Shadow, Nicconi, Snippetson, Testa Rossa and Shamardal.

The Champion First and Second Season Sires Smart Missile and Hinchinbrook are both represented with six two-year-olds each in the Ready2Race Sale, while first crop sires with two or more progeny each include All Too Hard, Americain, Animal Kingdom, Bullet Train, Excelebration, Harbour Watch, Pierro and Your Song.

Lauriston Thoroughbred Farm have an excellent draft of 30 lots to sell alongside considerable offerings from Frankie Stockdale (16 lots), Chevaux Bloodstock (14), Wingara Thoroughbreds (13), Heritage Park (12), Careal Equine Services (10), MJI Thoroughbreds (10), Think Big Stud (10), Gippsland Thoroughbreds (9), Jackson Bloodstock (9), Kingstar Farm (9), Platinum Park (7), Woodpark Stud (7), Muskoka Farm (6), Nolen Racing (6), Baystone Farm (5), Laceby Lodge (5), O'Gorman Racing (5) and others.

Progeny from 27 stakes winning mares and 22 stakes placed mares will be showcased at breeze ups on quality grass tracks at Cranbourne (Victoria) and Canterbury (Sydney) early next month. They include colts from Group 1 winners Dashing Eagle, Invest and Crystal Clear, plus the first or second foals of Augusta Proud, Belmont Cat, Jungle Juice, Shaqira and Upon This Rock.

In addition to the sister to Japonisme there are 23 full or half relations to stakes winners and 23 stakes place getters. They include half-brothers to Group 1 winners Diamond Drille, Duoro Valley and Rubiscent, plus three-quarter-brothers-in-blood to Streama and Magic Cape.

The two-year-olds will be filmed galloping on the respective grass course proper at Cranbourne and Canterbury, with the last 200 metres of their gallops electronically timed. All potential buyers are welcome at both the breeze up days, while approximately 45 seconds of footage of each horse will be made available for viewing online and via DVDs and USBs a few days later.
