Darley's
triple Group I winner Helmet has been churning out the winners in Europe this
year adding a twelfth to the tally overnight in Ireland where Mur Hiba scored
at the Curragh.
Trained by Michael O´Callaghan, two year-old filly Mur Hiba dashed clear to win
the five furlong maiden by half a length at her third start.
"She´s a lovely filly. She has a lot of natural speed and anything she does
this year will be a bonus. I would see her as an out and out sprinter," said O'Callaghan.
Bought for 80,000 guineas at the Tattersalls Breeze Up Sale earlier this year,
Mur Hiba is a half-sister to stakes-winner Riskit fora Biskit being the sixth
winner for good producer Miss Brief.
She is the 14th winner overall for Helmet, who also has two winners
in Australia including the stakes-winner Archives.
Helmet stands at Darley Victoria at a reduced fee of $16,500.
