Easy in the market, the Robert Cowell trained filly raced greenly, but was
still too good in forging clear to win the six furlong maiden by a length and a
half."If we can keep her energy channeled in the right direction I think Elliptical could be quite useful," said Cowell.
"I´d imagine because of her size we´ll keep her fairly lightly raced and then put her away for next year. She´s got a lovely big frame and she can only improve physically."
Elliptical is the first winner for Gyroscope, a three-quarter sister by Spinning World to Group III winning sprinter miler Arakan.
She is the 18th winner for Fastnet Rock's Group I winning son Foxwedge, who stands at Newgate Farm this spring at a fee of $22,000.
