Pound Sterling - Lisa GrimmA $175,000 Magic Millions purchase for Star Thoroughbreds, striking colt Pound Sterling is from Spring Collection and came from the same draft as Capitalist, Daandine Stud,.

The pair are also bred on the same cross, both being from daughters of Fusaichi Pegasus (USA).

Capitalist might have been the first of them to get up and going, but Pound Sterling might find his turn to shine is just around the corner judging by this successful return.

Spelled after two modest runs in March and April, Pound Sterling showed he was back in a big way with a dominant three length trial win at Randwick on July 15.

Entered for the Group I ATC Golden Rose and MRC Caulfield Guineas, Pound Sterling has taken his first step on the path to spring success.
