The John Oxx-trained Nonetheless, a daughter of Fastnet Rock and the three-time Kiwi stakes winner Twinkling, recently won over 2400 metres.
"It's nice to see the breed is shaping up on the other side of the world as well," said Linda Laing, who trained Twinkling with her father Royce Dowling.
"She was shipped to Ireland and had a Cape Cross filly that didn't do a lot - it was a late foal. Then she had another Cape Cross colt, slipped to Azamour and the Sea The Stars colt died at birth. This is the next one."
Twinkling is by Star Way (GB) from Group I winner Limitless and is a half-sister to the dam of five-time Group I winner Veyron. - NZ RAcing Desk
