Another promising juvenile has been sold to continue its career in Hong Kong.
The Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman-trained Pluck That scored an impressive victory at Te Rapa last weekend and is in the process of being sold in a private negotiation.
The two-year-old son of Pluck was purchased for $20,000 at last year's NZB Ready To Run Sale by Forsman.
Fourth on debut behind Volpe Veloce in the Listed Castletown Stakes at Wanganui in June, Pluck That then won over 1200m at at Te Teko before scoring by 4 1/2-lengths over 1100m at Te Rapa last Saturday.
Part-owner David Kneebone told NZ Racing Desk he had mixed feelings about the sale.
"Personally, I was pretty happy to see him carry on racing here," Kneebone said.
"I was happy either way, but I could see he was a really good horse and we could see the potential he had. But overall it's a bloody good result and really well done by Andrew Forsman.
"It's the old maxim, you never risk a loss when you can make a profit."
