On a day dominated by veteran stallions, Rich Hill Stud stalwart Pentire (GB) brought up a stakes double when the Tony Gollan-trained Amexed claimed Saturday's $175,000 Listed Caloundra Cup (2400m) at the Sunshine Coast.
Pentire's son Tucanchoo had earlier earned his first stakes success in the Listed Winter Stakes at Rosehill.

The win advances the overall record of Amexed to 4 wins, 2 seconds and 2 thirds from 22 starts with earnings of $302,600.
Speaking from Bali where he is holidaying, Golan said he was not in the least surprised by the win after studying the race times from Ipswich Cup day two weeks ago.
"My bloke ran a faster time when he was in the worse part of the track. The favourite (Maurus) had to carry a kilogram more on Saturday and we dropped two-and-a-half kilos," Gollan told AAP.
"This horse won the Rough Habit Plate and was fifth in the Queensland Derby as a three-year-old but things went wrong and it wasn't until Ipswich he won again," Gollan said.
"I believe he is potentially the best stayer I have trained and I am so pleased for the owners because they didn't complain once when he struck the bad patch.
A $220,000 purchase by Cameron Cooke Bloodstock from the Hallmark Stud draft at the 2012 NZ Bloodstock Premier Yearling sale, Amexed is one of five winners out of the stakes-placed Danasinga mare Danex.
He is a half-brother to Digital Fortress (Savabeel) who placed in the Norman Robinson Stakes and was fourth in the Group 1 Victoria Derby.
Danex is a half-sister to the dam of Group 1 ARC Railway Stakes winner Ryan Mark (Thorn Park).
The daughter of Danasinga has a yearling filly by Savabeel that was knocked down to Bruce Perry Bloodstock for $150,000 at this year's NZ Bloodstock Premier Yearling sale and a weanling filly by Ocean Park.
She was bred back to the 5-time Group 1 winning son of Thorn Park again last spring.
