Second Winner for Butters

Imported El Prado stakes-winner Butters (USA) featured with a winning double at Rosehill on Saturday with her two year-old Foxwedge filly Foxplay winning the first race for Star Thoroughbreds and then three races later her four year-old daughter Butterboom saluted for Champion Thoroughbreds.

Prepared by Joe Pride, Butterboom won over 1200 metres by half a length, her fourth win from 13 starts with earnings now topping $133,000.

The daughter of Myboycharlie (IRE) was a modest $40,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Wise draft and like her younger half-sister was bred by SF Bloodstock.

12 year-old Butters has changed hands several times in the last few years, most recently in 2015 when sold at Magic Millions for just $6,000 after missing to Al Maher.

She is due to foal to Animal Kingdom (USA) this spring.
