A hot run for Onemorenomore continued last week with promising filly Something More so impressive saluting at Morphettville on Saturday.
Having only her third start, the Jon O'Connor trained two-year-old was sent out favourite having been a close up fifth in Gr.3 company at her previous outing and, despite having to do a bit of early work she was just too strong.
Drawing clear to salute by 1 1/2 lengths, Something More looked to have plenty in hand and O'Connor is looking forward to campaigning her in Melbourne over the spring.
"I am sure I can find a nice race for her somewhere," he said.
"She was strong to the line on Saturday," he said, adding that she is a filly who "has just got better and better."
"She licked her bin clean on Saturday night and has pulled up very well but there is not much around for her at the moment so she will go out for a break and we will have a look at the spring."
"She has done very well this time in and I think she will be all the better at three."The day before the Lee & Anthony Freedman trained debutant Solid Rod created a good impression saluting in easy fashion at Geelong - settling midfield and charging to the line.
That's seven winners for Onemorenomore since the start of May, another four of whom were also breaking their maidens including the Richard Jolly trained Clandestine Affair who showed plenty of natural pace leading throughout at her Strathalbyn debut.
"Onemorenomore is an in-form stallion who is really going to suit the Victorian market," said Ridgeview Park Stud's Phil Sloane who is looking forward to welcoming the son of Red Ransom to the Muskerry East farm next week.
Describing the the nine-year-old as "a particuarly good-looking horse," Sloan noted that he carries a stamp of both his sire and his dam sire Last Tycoon.
A Group One winner of the Champagne Stakes (which he won by a stunning four lengths), Onemorenomore is a stallion boasting great depth of pedigree and being Danehill free he is a great prospect for mares from that prolific line.
