Super One has been retired to stud following his unplaced effort in last Saturday's Group I Goodwood Handicap (1200m) at Morphettville.

The three-year-old son of I Am Invincible led around the home turn before weakening to finish 13th behind Black Heart Bart and will stand at Newgate Farm in the Hunter Valley.

Unbeaten in four starts in Singapore, Super One won the Group III D C McKay Stakes over 1100m at Morphettville two starts back.

"He's as fast an entire I've trained," Lee Freedman, who prepared Super One in partnership with brother Anthony said.

"There's a lot of interest in him from breeders and he's a great looking horse."
