With the speed map in his favour a Matthew Dale-trained gelding will take plenty of running down in the Parkes Cup on Sunday.
Lightly-raced gelding Itchyzariz looks set to get an uncontested lead in the Parkes Services Club Parkes Cup (1600m).
A six-year-old with just 18 career starts on his resume, Itchyzariz led all the way to win a benchmark 64 handicap at Canberra on April 22 carrying 56.5kg before finishing runner-up at Wagga Wagga last time out over the mile lumping 58kg and sitting three wide without cover in the run.
Itchyzariz gets in on the minimum 54kg weight on Sunday and looks set to lead his rivals a merry dance.
The Gratz Vella-trained American Time was only two-lengths form the winner Bolord in a race at Warwick Farm three runs back and returns to the mile after contesting longer races at his latest two outings and is set to get a soft run in transit from the inside gate.
The Wayne Carroll-trained Heyson is chasing back to back Parkes Cup wins after winning the 2015 edition carrying 54kg.
The 57.5kg on Sunday looks a red flag but is a must for the wider exotics whilst Yes Zariz, a winner twice from his latest four starts is in the mix from an ideal gate.
