Off the scene for 14 months due to a tendon injury, the Peter Morgan and Craig Widdison-trained 4yo Zebulon made a stunning return to racing with a 4-length thumping of 11 opponents in Saturday's $100,000 Listed City Of Adelaide Hcp (1400m) at Morphettville.
The son of All American hadn't started since his second in the Group II Autumn Stakes at Caulfield in February last year.
In earning his first stakes win the lightly raced gelding advances his overall record to 2 wins, 2 seconds and 2 thirds from 8 starts for earnings of $172,410.
Bred in New Zealand by Kathryn Picton-Warlow, Zebulon is the third foal of the Saint Ballado mare Saint's Review (IRE), a daughter of US stakes-winner Smashing Review (Pleasant Tap), herself a daughter of Nodouble's Grade 1 winner No Review.
Saint's Review (IRE) died without producing another live foal.
Zebulon becomes the fourth stakes-winner for All American who now stands at Geisel Park Stud.
