The James Cummings trained filly had been consistent of late without winning but turned that around under a bold front running ride from Glyn Schofield.
She fired forward from gate 16 to share the lead and fought on strongly to win the 1200 metre dash by half a length, her overall record now three wins and five placings from 14 starts with prizemoney topping $260,000.
"Today she had a lot to do from the outside barrier but we were positive," Schofield said.
"We got across, didn't spend much petrol to get there and coming into the straight she was travelling so sweetly for me and I had the pleasure and fortune of being able to sit and wait over the rise.
"I asked her to quicken up and she responded straight away."
Tempt Me Not hadn't raced for a month, but was tuned up with a recent trial win.
"We put ourselves in a really good position giving the filly a month between runs," Cummings said.
"She had a slick trial between runs at Warwick Farm. She loves that.
"A few visits to the beach. She loves the beach.
"It was great to get that stakes win for a filly out of an Encosta mare and I guarantee that this filly will throw a good colt one day."
Cummings mentioned the Group III JHB Carr Stakes (1400m) at Randwick in a fortnight or a possible freshen-up leading into the Listed Denise's Joy (1100m) at Scone for Tempt Me Not.
Bred and retained to race by Gooree, Tempt Me Not is the first winner for placed Encosta de Lago mare Ganda, a half-sister to the dam of this season's Group II winning juvenile Good Standing from the family of dual Group I winner Tempest Morn.
Ganda has a yearling colt by Your Song and went to Strategic Maneuvre again last spring, the son of Royal Academy covering 54 mares last year at a fee of $6,600.
