Warwick Farm trainers Amanda Turner and Mauro Poletti have had plenty of success with purchases from the NZB Ready to Run Sale and posted a big maiden win at Goulburn on Monday with the Torryburn Stud bred Art of Excellence.

Art of Excellence as a yearlingA three year-old gelding by Excellent Art (GB) from Le Sillage, he resumed from a spell to power clear and win by more than four lengths.

A $185,000 NZB Ready to Run purchase, Art of Excellence was a successful pinhook for Diamond Lodge, who bought him from the Torryburn Stud draft at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale for $62,000.

He is the third winner from three foals to race from metro winning Encosta de Lago mare Le Sillage, who also had a winner at Doomben last Wednesday in Grey Glitter.

A four year-old mare by Domesday, Grey Glitter was retained to race by Torryburn and scored by half a head over 1350 metres.

Le Sillage has a yearling colt by Charge Forward, a weanling filly by Poet's Voice (GB) and was covered last year by Dawn Approach (IRE).
