Black
Caviar's baby brother Moshe featured on Saturday at Morphettville with his
first winner as a sire and even better, speedy filly Moshki is also a
stakes-winner having scored a resounding victory in the Listed SAJC Cinderella
Stakes.
Prepared by Terry and Karina O'Sullivan at Stawell in Victoria, Moshki was the
most experienced runner with five previous starts under her belt for four
placings at the provincials and Moonee Valley.
With race experience and fitness on her side, Moshki made a mess of her rivals,
leading throughout to win the 1050 metre scamper by four and three-quarter
lengths denying fellow freshman sire Sepoy his first winner with his daughter
She's Positive a well beaten second.
Not offered at auction, Moshki was foaled and raised at Yarraman Park for her
breeders and is the best of four winners from Zedski, an unraced Zeditave half-sister
to the dam of stakes-winner Tudor.
Yarraman Park sold the current yearling from Zedski, a filly by I Am Invincible
for $150,000 at Inglis Classic to Star Thoroughbreds, which now looks a very
nice buy!
A lightly raced metropolitan winning full brother to Black Caviar, Moshe has
received great support at Eliza Park International and has covered 562 mares in
his first four seasons at stud a fee of $8,800 for his past three years after
initially starting at $6,600.
He has had nine runners so far with Moshki his first winner and stakes-winner,
while Moshway and El Venetian have earned Black Type and Miss Dominance has
also been placed.
