All Too Hard and Pierro continued their rivalry to fill the quinella in the first season sires division at the 2016 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale, the powerhouse pair delivering over $4million in aggregate sales.

Vinery Stud's All Too Hard shaded Coolmore's Pierro with 16 yearlings averaging $143,125, his best colt (from Midnight Martini) and filly (from Makybe Diva) both fetching $300,000.

Top sellers for Pierro were a filly from imported stakes-winner Rosaleen (IRE) that made $250,000 and the half-brother to dual Group I winner Trust in a Gust from Subtle Breeze (USA) that made $220,000.

Cornerstone Stud's high class proven shuttler Dalakhani (IRE) made his mark to be third on the first season sires by average list, his best result coming with the half-brother to Group III winner Tivaci from Breccia that made $180,000.

Swettenham Stud's Melbourne Cup winner American had a big draft and produced good returns for his supporters off a $13,750 fee returning 4.7 times fee, his best result colts from Paris Tryst and Apologies that both made $130,000.
