Sebring
three year- old Lucky Bubbles was made a Breednet 'One to Watch' when he bolted
in at Wyong at his second start last August and showed that sort of form to win
impressively at Sha Tin on Sunday.
Previously trained by Bjorn Baker and now with KW Lui in Hong Kong, Lucky
Bubbles improved on an unlucky second at his last start to forge clear and win the
1200 metre class three event by a length and a half.
A $90,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the Three Bridges Thoroughbreds draft,
Lucky Bubbles was bred by Gilgai Farm and is the first foal of stakes-placed
Bubble Below, a half-sister by Hussonet (USA) to stakes-winner Lunaspur and
three-quarter sister-in-blood to Group II winner Colorado Claire.
Bubble Below's second foal is this season's smart two year- old winner
Bubbleberry.
Bubble Below was bought by Victorian based Musk Creek Farm at the 2013 Inglis
Broodmare Sale for $145,000 and she has a weanling filly by Stratum and will foal
to Zoustar this spring.
